Top Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in the US: Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, the landscape of navigation and maps apps on Android in the United States showcased interesting trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps experienced varied performances in terms of downloads and active users.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads ranging from approximately 66K to 83K. The app saw a peak in downloads in early June and sustained a robust user base, with weekly active users hovering around 7M.

Google Earth experienced a consistent download rate, starting at about 53K and slightly decreasing to around 49K by the end of June. Despite this, active users showed a notable increase, peaking at over 1M mid-June.

Satellite View - Maps - Radar saw fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at about 25K. Revenue also showed a gradual increase, culminating at $795 by the end of June. Active users grew steadily, reaching over 56K.

Compass app - Accurate Compass demonstrated a significant rise in weekly downloads, climbing from approximately 8K to 25K. Revenue trends also showed an upward trajectory, ending the quarter at over $4K. Active users increased to nearly 29K by late June.

Easy Rout Map: Navigation Path experienced a slight decrease in downloads mid-quarter but rebounded to about 18K by the end. Active user numbers remained stable, with a peak of nearly 80K in the final week of June.

These insights from Sensor Tower highlight the dynamic nature of the navigation and maps sector on Android in the US, with each app showing unique trends in user engagement and growth.
